Abbreviated name, avatar, user type, approximate region, reputation, requests, product photos and ratings.
Your data should help you find. Not expose you.
This policy explains in plain language what SellersFindMe uses to connect buyers and suppliers, why, with whom and for how long.
Draft updated August 19, 2026Email, phone, password, exact address, confirmation codes, messages, offers and security records.
This is an operational draft adapted to the current product. The legal controller name, address, data protection contact and formal privacy channel must still be finalized and reviewed by qualified counsel before public launch.
1. Who we are and who this policy covers
SellersFindMe.com is a reverse marketplace: buyers post what they need and compatible suppliers may respond with offers. This policy covers the website, future app, buyer and supplier accounts, messages, offers, ratings and authorized integrations.
During the private prototype, SellersFindMe.com identifies the service. The controller's complete legal identity and data protection contact will be published before public launch.
2. Data we collect
Name, email, phone, protected password, internal member number, account type, photo or avatar, registration date, email/SMS confirmation and account recovery information.
Requested product, category, description, desired condition, budget, urgency, region, uploaded photos, interests, inventory information and connected store links.
Private messages, offered values, acceptance or refusal, history, evidence, reports, scores, reviews and transaction outcome.
Approximate or authorized location, city/state/country, IP, browser, operating system, technical identifiers, access times, language, currency and security events.
Searches, filters, viewed categories, saved requests, clicks, pages and email, push, language, currency and distance preferences.
When payments launch, an authorized provider may process billing, payment, delivery, refund and fraud-prevention data. SellersFindMe should not store full card numbers.
3. Where the data comes from
- Directly from you when you register, post, upload, message, offer, rate or request support.
- From your browser or device through cookies, local storage, logs and location permissions.
- From other users when they respond to, rate, report or negotiate with you.
- From connected stores, marketplaces or social services only when an integration exists and valid authorization is provided.
- From verification, security, hosting, communications and payment providers as those functions become active.
4. How and why we use data
Create and protect accounts, publish requests, find suppliers, calculate distance and currency, deliver messages and offers, and preserve history.
Combine categories, keywords, interests, availability, location and behavior to rank requests and notify compatible suppliers.
Verify contacts, prevent duplicate accounts, investigate fraud, spam and abuse, moderate content, restrict access and resolve disputes.
Send confirmations, offer alerts, negotiation messages, security notices, service updates and authorized marketing.
Measure performance, fix errors, build features, create aggregate statistics and comply with legal, tax, regulatory and judicial duties.
Legal grounds may include performance of a contract, consent, compliance with law and proportionate legitimate interests, always subject to your rights.
5. What other users can see
Requests and limited profile information must be visible for the marketplace to work. We show only what is needed to assess a request and reputation. Names may be abbreviated and public location should be approximate, never an exact address.
Email, phone, passwords, codes, documents, full addresses and message content should not be public. Messages and offers are limited to authenticated participants and authorized teams when required for support, moderation, safety or law.
Posted photos and descriptions may contain personal information. Do not upload license plates, documents, third-party faces, addresses or anything you do not want visible.
7. Location, currency, photos and matching
With permission, we use geolocation to populate region, calculate distance and suggest currency. You can refuse or revoke browser permission and enter a region manually.
Photos help suppliers identify parts and rare items. They may be resized, stored and reviewed for compatibility, safety and moderation. Any future image-similarity search will be disclosed before activation.
Matching uses category, description, interests and distance. It ranks opportunities but does not form contracts or independently produce significant legal effects. You may contest automated moderation and request human review when applicable law provides that right.
9. How long we keep data
We keep data while an account is active and as needed to operate the service. After closure, limited records may remain for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, security, backups and legal claims.
Duration depends on purpose, volume, sensitivity, risk and law. Data is then deleted or anonymized. Reviews, third-party messages and deal records may remain in limited form where needed to preserve history or protect the community.
10. How we protect data
- HTTPS connection and encryption in transit in the deployed environment.
- Protected passwords, email and phone verification, and revalidation for sensitive changes.
- Role-based access, audit records and restricted access to messages and administrative data.
- Production architecture plans for backups, monitoring, upload limits and incident review.
- Minimized public data and approximate regions whenever possible.
No internet service is infallible. Displayed seals describe SellersFindMe practices or features; they are not ISO, PCI, SOC or independent-audit certifications unless formally verified.
11. Your rights and choices
- Confirm processing and request access or a copy.
- Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated information.
- Request anonymization, restriction, portability or deletion where applicable.
- Learn who received data and restrict or object to certain uses.
- Withdraw consent and unsubscribe from marketing without losing unrelated services.
- Request review of automated decisions and present your point of view.
- Complain to the ANPD, a European authority or the competent US state authority.
We may verify identity before responding and explain any lawful limit that prevents full completion.
12. Transfers, children and policy changes
Providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we will use contractual clauses, adequacy decisions and other safeguards recognized by applicable law.
SellersFindMe is intended for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect children's data. An underage account may be suspended and deleted unless retention is legally required.
We may update this policy when products, law or providers change. Material changes will be announced on the service, by email or another suitable channel before they take effect when required.
13. Contact and complaints
During the private prototype, privacy requests should be logged through account support. Before public launch, this section will include the legal entity, address, privacy email and DPO or representative details required for served regions.
You may also complain to the competent data protection authority. We welcome the opportunity to investigate and respond first.
